Worth more than 1000 words...

The story behind the picture on the Washington Times and Washington Post front pages yesterday...

Thanks for the post. After seeing that particular picture on our local paper's front page, I was moved so much that I sat down and started writing a song.

So when can I hear it?

soon. I hopefully will record it this week.

It may be a while. Ben is too busy having candlelit dinners with 3 women at a time.

Oh, this I gotta hear about!

The candlelight wasn't my idea. It was suggested when I asked where they wanted to eat, and being the dutiful host I obliged them.

Besides, can't a group of friends enjoy some creamy cabbage-potato soup at a table with nice ambiance? It's completely irrelevant that they all like me and are vying for my attention. (I do have to keep my self-esteem high somehow.)

Uh huh... Nathan, how much help does he need?

Apparently not much.

ok I finally recorded the song. It's called Distracted. I'm not thrilled with the recording, but it works. Note: the song isn't about the picture. It just inspired me to write it. The song is more about a Hotel Rowanda type experience--the desire to leave a war torn area but you can't. The song is on my website: www.benbrenner.com
